# ChatGPT

> Connect ChatGPT to Minoa for AI-powered sales intelligence

## Overview

Connect **ChatGPT** to your **Minoa** workspace using a custom connector. Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT about your pipeline, find winning use cases, and even create business cases — all through natural conversation.

<Note>
  Custom MCP connectors are available on **ChatGPT Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu** plans. On Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces a workspace **admin** may first need to enable custom connectors (sometimes shown as **Developer mode**) under workspace settings. If you don't see **Connectors** in Settings, check with your workspace admin — or email **[support@minoa.io](mailto:support@minoa.io)** and we'll help.
</Note>

## What Can I Do With This?

Once connected, just ask ChatGPT what you need:

| What You Want | What to Ask |
| - | - |
| **See your deals** | "Show me my open business cases" |
| **Check pipeline health** | "How's my pipeline doing this quarter?" |
| **Find what's working** | "Which use cases have the highest win rate?" |
| **Prep for a meeting** | "Create a business case for Acme Corp — they're enterprise fintech" |
| **Get deal details** | "Show me the Snowflake business case" |

***

## Getting Started

The Minoa server URL is `https://mcp.minoa.io`.

### Add the connector

1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings → Connectors** (on a Business/Enterprise/Edu workspace, enable **Developer mode** first if custom connectors aren't already turned on).
2. Click **Add** (or **Create**) to add a custom connector.
3. Give it a name — for example, **Minoa**.
4. For the **MCP server URL**, enter `https://mcp.minoa.io`.
5. Choose **OAuth** as the authentication method if prompted, then click **Create** / **Connect**.

<Note>
  ChatGPT shows a notice that you're connecting to an external server — that's expected. Confirm the URL reads `https://mcp.minoa.io` before continuing.
</Note>

### Authorize Access

After adding the connector, ChatGPT redirects you to Minoa to sign in. After logging in, you'll see an authorization screen — click **Authorize** to grant ChatGPT access to your Minoa data.

Once authorized, you'll be redirected back to ChatGPT and see **Minoa** in your connected connectors.

<Tip>
  **Why do I sign in with my own account?**

  Minoa uses personal authentication rather than a shared service account. This means:

  * **Audit trail** — Every action ChatGPT takes is logged under your user, so your team knows who did what
  * **Permissions** — ChatGPT inherits your role. It can read and change exactly what you can in the web app, and nothing else
  * **Accountability** — AI actions are tied to a real person, not an anonymous bot
</Tip>

<Info>
  **Can a seller change our value framework through ChatGPT?** No. ChatGPT runs on the same permissions as the web app, so
  editing the value framework and its math stays admin-only — and even for admins, changes stage in a private draft that
  needs explicit approval before publishing. See [Permissions and
  Governance](/pages/integrations/mcp#permissions-and-governance).
</Info>

### Try It Out

Start a new chat, enable the **Minoa** connector for the conversation if your client asks you to, and try:

> "What business cases do I have open right now?"

If ChatGPT responds with your actual deals, you're all set.

## Things You Can Ask

### Browse Your Business Cases

* "Show me all my open business cases"
* "Find business cases for Acme"
* "List my won deals"

### Check Your Pipeline

* "How's my pipeline doing?"
* "What's my win rate this quarter?"
* "Show me pipeline trends for the last 90 days"

### Find What's Working

* "Which use cases have the highest win rate?"
* "What should I be leading with in enterprise deals?"
* "Show me our top performing value drivers"

### Get Deal Details

* "Show me the full business case for Snowflake"
* "What's the value story for the Stripe deal?"
* "Pull up the ROI breakdown for Acme"

### Explore Your Value Framework

* "What use cases do we have?"
* "Show me our ROI calculations"
* "What value drivers can I use?"

### Create a Business Case

* "Create a business case for Stripe — enterprise fintech"
* "Set up a BC for a mid-market healthcare company called MedTech"
* "I have a call with Notion tomorrow — build me a business case"

When you ask ChatGPT to create a business case, it will:

1. Find or create the account in Minoa
2. Analyze which use cases win in similar deals
3. Add the best-fit use cases automatically
4. Generate an AI value hypothesis
5. Give you a link to the new business case

## Disconnecting

To revoke ChatGPT's access to your Minoa data, open **Settings → Connectors**, find **Minoa**, and remove it.

***

## Technical Reference

ChatGPT connects over the same OAuth-secured MCP endpoint as every other client, and sees the same permission-checked toolset. For the full capability list, guided workflows, and the role-by-role permission breakdown, see the [Minoa MCP Server](/pages/integrations/mcp) reference.

### Security

* All requests are authenticated via OAuth and scoped to your Minoa workspace
* ChatGPT inherits your Minoa role — it can read and change exactly what you can in the web app. Admin-only capabilities, such as editing the value framework, aren't offered to a non-admin's client at all
* Your authorization can be revoked by removing the connector from ChatGPT

See [Permissions and Governance](/pages/integrations/mcp#permissions-and-governance) for the full role breakdown.

## Troubleshooting

### I don't see "Connectors" in Settings

Custom connectors require a supported plan (Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu), and on team workspaces an admin may need to enable them (**Developer mode**). Check with your workspace admin, or reach out to **[support@minoa.io](mailto:support@minoa.io)**.

### ChatGPT doesn't use the Minoa tools

Make sure the **Minoa** connector is enabled for the conversation, then ask a direct question like "Show me my open business cases". If tools still aren't used, remove and re-add the connector to trigger a fresh sign-in.

### "Tools suddenly stop working" / access errors

This usually means your authorization has expired. Remove the Minoa connector and add it again to sign in fresh.
