# Fathom

> Connect Fathom to Minoa with an API key.

Connect Fathom and Minoa pulls your call transcripts into every business case. Fathom authenticates with an API key you generate in Fathom and paste into Minoa.

  You need admin rights in Minoa to connect, and Minoa connects one recorder at a time. Disconnect any current recorder first.

## Connect Fathom

<Steps>
  <Step title="Get your Fathom API key">
    In Fathom, open **Settings** from the top right, scroll to **My Settings → API Access**, click **Add**, name the key, and create it. Copy it right away. See the [Fathom API docs](https://developers.fathom.ai/) for details.

  <Step title="Paste it into Minoa">
    In Minoa, go to **Settings → Integrations**, click **Fathom**, and paste your API key.

  <Step title="Confirm the sync">
    Save to start the sync. Your recent calls show up in the context panel of your accounts and deals within a few minutes.

## Frequently asked questions

  <Accordion title="My key only sees some of my calls">
    Fathom API keys are scoped to the user who created them, so a key only reaches meetings that user recorded or that were shared with them. Use a key from an account that records the calls you want in Minoa.

  <Accordion title="My API key isn't working">
    Regenerate the key in Fathom under **Settings → My Settings → API Access**, make sure you copied the whole value, and paste it into Minoa again.
