For Admins

What it is

Previously Minoa’s baseline survey was only connected to the use cases within your Business Case. Now you can create custom templates and send additional surveys to customers regardless if you have a business case or not.

Whether you’re working with new stakeholders, new teams, or just want to level set things with your customer, you can create and send custom surveys within each opportunity.

What’s in the custom survey?
  1. Numeric metrics — real inputs from your value framework (“hours per week spent on X,” “current cost of Y”). Answers feed directly into the business case.
  2. Qualitative questions — free text, yes/no, rating sliders, single- and multi-select.
The result: business cases built on numbers the customer gave you, not numbers your rep guessed. You can set up templates for your team and users can also customize their own surveys within each of their opportunities.

Why set up templates

Reps don’t build surveys from scratch mid-deal — they grab what’s ready. As an admin, you can build a few templated surveys in the Value Intelligence tab so anyone on your team can pull one into a deal and send it within a minute. Three templates cover most teams to start:

Setting one up

  1. Open the survey builder on the Value Intelligence tab and pick your numeric inputs — search across all your use cases and toggle on the metrics you want answered.
  2. Add custom questions — any of the five question types.
  3. Drag to order inputs and questions together, and group them into sections if the survey is long.
  4. Name it and launch. (Unnamed surveys get a default name — give it one your reps will recognize.)
You can edit a survey after launch; existing answers are kept for anything you don’t remove.

What your reps do

Grab the template, and copy the share link. That’s it. The link works for anyone — no account, no login for the customer. Send it in an email, a Slack Connect channel, wherever the conversation lives.

What the customer sees

  • A branded welcome — your logo, your color, an intro you wrote.
  • A clean two-column form: sections on the left, questions on the right, with the right format for each answer (currency, percentage, duration).
  • They can add notes on any answer, skip what they don’t know, and finish in one sitting or come back.
  • Each respondent’s progress is tracked separately — send one link to five stakeholders and see who’s done.

Working with responses

  • Watch progress live in the Responses tab: who finished, who’s midway, every answer as it lands.
  • Accept numeric responses to pull them straight into the business case, or dismiss them (for example, before re-surveying later). Nothing overwrites anything — every answer is kept as history, and you decide what counts.
  • Get notified — the survey creator gets an email and a Slack notification when a customer completes.

The shortcut

All of the above also works conversationally: ask the Minoa agent to build, launch, review responses on, or send reminders for a baseline survey, and it will do it for you.
