Sign in with Email and Password

If you received email/password credentials, you can access Minoa at app.minoa.io/login and sign in using your email address and password. After entering your credentials, you’ll be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) to secure your account.

Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication

MFA adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a one-time password in addition to your email and password when you sign in.
MFA is required for email/password login and helps protect your account from unauthorized access.

Step 1: Scan the QR Code

After signing in, you’ll see a screen with a QR code. This code contains the information needed to set up your authenticator app.

Step 2: Choose Your Authenticator App

You can use any authenticator app or password manager that supports TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) codes. Popular options include:
  • Google Authenticator — Free mobile app for iOS and Android
  • Microsoft Authenticator — Free mobile app with backup options
  • Okta Verify — Enterprise-focused authenticator app
  • 1Password — Password manager with built-in authenticator support
  • Other TOTP-compatible apps — Any app that can scan QR codes and generate time-based codes
If you already use a password manager like 1Password, you can add Minoa’s MFA directly there—no need for a separate app.

Step 3: Scan and Verify

  1. Open your chosen authenticator app
  2. Tap on the ”+” or “Add Account” button
  3. Scan the QR code displayed on your screen
  4. Enter the 6-digit code generated by your app to verify the setup
Once verified, your MFA is configured. You’ll use your authenticator app to generate a code each time you sign in with email and password.

When MFA Is Required

MFA is only required when signing in with email and password. If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO) or SAML, you’ll authenticate through your identity provider instead, and MFA may be handled by your organization’s security policies.
