Your home page shows all business cases in your workspace. With filters, you can quickly narrow down this list to focus on what matters most—whether that’s your own deals, closed opportunities, or cases that need attention.

Understanding the Filter Menu

Click the Filters button at the top of your business cases list to open the filter menu. When you have active filters, you’ll see a badge showing how many are applied.
Filters persist across sessions, so your view stays consistent when you return to Minoa.

Filter Categories

You can filter business cases by four main categories: Opportunity Status
  • Open – Active deals still in progress
  • Closed Won – Successfully closed deals
  • Closed Lost – Deals that didn’t close
  • All Opportunities – Select or deselect all statuses at once
Opportunity Owner
  • Filter by the person who owns the deal
  • Search for specific team members by name
  • Select Me to see only your opportunities
  • Use Select All to include everyone
  • If your workspace uses teams, owners are grouped by team for easy selection
When you search for owners, type “me” to quickly find yourself in the list.
Business Case
  • Business case created – Opportunities with at least one business case
  • No business case – Opportunities without any business cases yet
Level of Detail
  • Low – Basic business cases with minimal information
  • Medium – Business cases with moderate detail
  • High – Comprehensive business cases with extensive inputs and analysis
Use the Level of Detail filter to identify which business cases need more work before presenting to buyers.

How Filters Work Together

Multi-Select Capability

Most filters let you select multiple options simultaneously. For example, you can filter for both “Open” and “Closed Won” opportunities at the same time, or view business cases from multiple team members. The exception: Business Case filters are mutually exclusive—you can select either “Business case created,” “No business case,” or both, but selecting both shows all opportunities regardless of business case status.

Default Filters

When you first visit the home page, Minoa applies two default filters:
  1. Opportunity Status: Open
  2. Opportunity Owner: Me
This gives you a focused view of your active deals right away.

Visual Filter Badges

Active filters appear as badges next to the filter button, showing the most relevant selections. These badges display the shortest filters first to save space. Click the × on any badge to quickly remove that filter.

Working with Team-Based Filters

If your workspace has teams configured, the Opportunity Owner filter displays users grouped by team. This makes it easy to filter for your entire team at once.

Selecting Entire Teams

Click the checkbox next to any team name to select or deselect all members of that team. When some (but not all) team members are selected, the team checkbox shows an indeterminate state. Team members are indented under their team name for easy scanning.
Users without team assignments appear at the bottom of the owner list.

Quick Actions

Searching for Owners

In the Opportunity Owner submenu, use the search bar to quickly find specific people:
  • Type any part of a person’s name
  • Search for “me” to find yourself
  • Search for team names to filter teams
  • Clear your search by clicking the × icon
The search updates in real-time as you type, making it fast to find the right person even in large teams.

Resetting Filters

Two ways to clear your filters: Clear All Filters – Click this button in the filter menu header to remove all active filters and show every business case in your workspace. Reset – Click this button next to the filter badges to restore the default filters (Open status + Me as owner). The Reset button only appears when your current filters differ from the defaults.

Best Practices

When looking for something specific, start with “All Opportunities” to see everything, then add filters to narrow your focus. This prevents accidentally filtering out what you’re looking for.
Filter for “Low” level of detail to identify business cases that need more information before customer presentations. Focus your prep time where it matters most.
Set up filters for common workflows: - Prep mode: Your open opportunities with business cases created - Follow-up mode: All closed opportunities to review outcomes - Team review: Your team’s opportunities at high level of detail
Filter for “No business case” to identify opportunities that might benefit from value quantification. These are prime candidates for building out business cases.

Understanding Filter Behavior

Filter Persistence

Your selected filters are saved in your browser session and persist when you navigate away from the home page. When you return, you’ll see the same filtered view.
Filters are session-based and reset when you log out or clear your browser cache.

Empty Filter Results

If your filters produce no results, you’ll see an empty state on the home page. Try broadening your filters or clicking Clear Filters to see all business cases again.

Active Filter Count

The badge on the Filters button shows the total number of individual filter selections, not the number of categories. For example, if you select three owners and two statuses, the badge displays “5.”
